Introduction
With such a fast pace world that we live in, students are exposed to so many stimuli and are trying to keep up with TV, video games, and the internet. Some students have adapted to a more fast pace environment and are my hyperactive than others. We identify these students with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). With so many children being diagnosed with this it is no surprise that so many children’s books have come out recently portraying these disabilities. The two that I have chosen to read are Shelley the Hyperactive Turtle and I Can’t Sit Still – Living with ADHD. Both of these books portray boys with this disorder that are eventually medicated in order to help with their hyperactivity.
